Pilates for Knee Pain

Pilates greatly benefits knee pain and provides stability, strength and support for this complex joint. Acute and chronic knee injuries are some of the most commonly seen injuries in orthopaedic settings.

The cause of knee injuries can vary from acute to chronic (overuse) injuries.
The Pilates reformer and equipment offer a number of possibilities for strengthening the surrounding musculature that stabilise the knee joint.

Pilates is a safe and secure way to correct muscle imbalance and muscle damage, whilst building additional strength and stability.

Pilates greatly benefits the structure of the knee joint and addresses many common issues and injuries such as knee ligament injury, meniscus tear, patella issues, ACL injury and osteoarthritis.
